Indy Here We Come!
Start your engines! This was the first trip to Indianapolis for the Love Those Mavs team and wow, what a really cool place it is. Indy was added to the LTM Tour this year.
When we took off from Addison Airport, it was almost 80 degrees and Spring like, when we landed it was in the 40’s and windy, with Winter still hanging on up there! We parked the jet right next to Mark Cuban’s airplane and the Mavs team plane as well.
John, our very friendly bus driver, took us on the scenic route to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse and we got to see close up the Lucas Oil Stadium, site of the NCAA Final Four series coming up. Downtown Indianapolis is simply beautiful and the people there are super friendly….of course teasing us all on our Mavs attire!
The Pacers arena felt like Holy ground since so much basketball history is RIGHT THERE! The place is really cool. We even got Larry Bird’s autograph!
Our special guests this beautiful Sunday evening were Julie and Tony Mullen, long time Mavs season ticket holders and super fans. Also, newlyweds Skylar and Dewanna Blacknall joined us as well and were all great fun to travel with.
Even though we didn’t get the W, Danny Bollinger and Big Rob discovered the sound system in our Gulfstream jet on the way home, cranked it up to max wattage with Michael Jackson tunes all the way home to Dallas! The pilots had to wonder what in the world was going on in the back since it sounded like a disco!
Ton of fun that night!
